Just in case there isn’t anyone out there who doesn’t already know this. Yes I am am man, and yes I own and operate my own embroidery machine! There I said it now
- As I was making a cap the other night, a strange noise began to emanate from said embroidery machine (PR600 for anyone interested). On closer inspection I soon realised that my cap was actually stuck firm within the machines grasp. After eventually cutting the cap free I then flipped down the bobbin housing to reveal the mess you can see in the photograph below. It was quite a shock, and took some time to get sorted.

Yet another weekend is coming to an end and another month closing. ever since I started full time employment the years seem to go pass so quickly and yet I don’t seem to achieve much. The Kman and I will be celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary at the end of the month, yet it doesn’t seem five minutes ago when we were putting the final touches to our big day, it will soon be Christmas again and then the whole routine starts over.
Thats enough of the moaning now.
It has been yet another glorious weekend, with temperatures up in the 20’s. I don’t know whether it is down to global warming or that the earth is just going through a hot spell, but I am enjoying it, don’t know if I will be quite as cheerful when summer gets here and the temperature rises even further (I don’t cope too well with really hot weather as I suffer from Asthma). Anyway the Kman and I have had a quiet weekend at home and managed to do a bit of tiding up and planning what to do over the Bank Holiday next week.
Here’s to another week at work and keep smiling

I arrived home to a message from my mum this evening, to report on the arrival of our new scart cable for our TV. As you can see from the photo I have just snapped below, it’s not just any scart! It’s an IXOS XHT601-300 none the less
It’s a super scart cable alright, and winner of many awards from magazines such as What HI-FI. I will be sure to report whether there is a real discernible difference in picture quality, after I have installed it.

Kman and I ventured out of our little abode on Saturday to meet up with a couple of friends for a meal at Joe’s Diner in Abington Street in Northampton.
Joe’s Diner is an American style restaurant which serves a diverse menu and in typical American fashion the dishes are massive. When choosing an item off the menu you are then given a list of extras by the waitress/waiter (how they can remember all the choices is beyond me). The food is cooked from fresh and arrives promptly at your table. Usually there is no room for pudding, but if there is they do a fantastic range.
Joe’s Diner is owned by a Northampton business man and he has various other outlets around the county. The other firm favourite of myself and Kman is Buddy’s which is decked out in American paraphernalia, the staff are again friendly and helpful, the puddings here are to die for.
I would highly recommend this chain of restaurants for a good night out.
Enjoy

I have decided at the tender age of 31 I am far too old to be going out into town on a Saturday night. I have come to this conclusion with the following:
1. Finding the music too loud when entering a pub
2. Complaining that the music is too loud
3. Not recognising any music being played
3. Not getting much change out of £10 when buying 3 drinks
4. Being more interested in the weather forecast on the TV in the pub that the people making fools of themselves.
I felt a lot older than I actually am on Saturday and was quite happy to get home and be in bed before 11.30. I didn’t go as far has having a hot chocolate before I went to bed.

Taken over the Easter bank holiday was this nice macro shot of a Yellow flower. I have removed some dust spots in Photoshop, and ever so slightly changed both saturation and contrast. Other than that the image is as shot. Taken with Nikon D70 and Tamron SP AF 90 DI macro lens, under natural light conditions. I really liked the stark lonelynes of this flower, along with the subtle tones of the background and fuzzed out leaves.
