On Saturday 19th May Dad and I decided to go down to the beach so that I could have a paddle in the sea. It had been windy for most of the day, but was sunny. My dad had recently purchased a wind breaker (shaped like 1/2 tent) which we put up quite successfully in the high wind. We were not to be deterred by the fact that the only people on the beach were the kite surfers.

Out of the wind the weather was lovely but the sea was freezing. It several minutes for the feeling to get back into my toes!! After about an hour and half we decided to call it a day and head back up the “zig-zag” and have a lovely cup of tea.

We had great fun and I am sure we were great entertainment for people walking along the sea front.
