Clothes Buying

The Kman and I went out with his family on Saturday to celebrate his 29th birthday. We firstly went to Bicester Shopping Village and had a look round the designer shops, even at a discount prices I thought some of the clothes were still quite expensive. We then went to Milton Keynes to have something to eat and to have a browse round the shops.

I was looking at some of the tops that are in fashion at the moment (which I think are fantastic as they hide unsightly lumps and bumps). Firstly I am not fan of the patterns and colours that are used on these tops, but secondly the sizing of clothes is completely ambiguous. I consider myself not a large person but I am not slim either. Depending on what shop I go into I am either a 12 or 14.

Unfortunately I suffer from the classic “pear-shaped” figure so clothes are tight round the hips/thighs and bottom but very loose around the waist. Manufacturers don’t seem to take into consideration the different shapes and sizes of the nation. Clothes that are shown in the window look fantastic but if you are more than a 14 these clothes do not look as great.

Hopefully designers will come around to thinking that thereĀ  are very few people who are a size 8 and start to cater for the larger sizes.

Enough of the ranting :)
