The floor is now dry and the builders were back again this morning to finish bricking the last little bit of the back wall up. Next moved in the people to put up the stud framework and insulation for the walls. This was all done in a single day, and apparently tomorrow we are being graced with the pleasure of the plasterboard and skim man. Also on site today was our friend Mr. Electrician, whom put in place all of the electrical sockets, and made space for the new RCD circuit breaker device.
Please forgive the quality of todays photographs, it’s pitch Black outside at the moment (night) and we currently have no electrics yet, so only the Nikon SB-800 flash with my trusty D70 to light up the room.

No pictures this evening, as the builders spent most of today laying the screed floor. I didn’t think a photograph of gray concrete would really do much for the popularity of this blog
KMan.

We were off to a cracking start yesterday, and this was further complimented by an 8:20am knock on the door on Saturday morning. Here was the results of Saturday’s build. First off we had the outside wall constructed, then secondly we had a roofer in for the rest of the day laying our new flat felt roof. The cat which you can see in the second photograph is Ella.

Work finally began today on our mystical garage conversion. We are very pleased with the rate at which everything is already starting to move. With the builders coming tomorrow (Saturday) would you believe to continue, we are confident this will be a speedy conversion. You can see today’s progress in the following 3 photographs.

We decided to take a trip down to Bournemouth last weekend, and whilst there went to the Aquarium on the sea front. With my trusty macro lens at the ready I snapped this little Yellow fish through a rather dirty tank.

Twas the night before ‘G’ day, or Garage Conversion day. We have just finished the final clear up of the garage by the removal of our massive Freezer, a task that was none to easy! - I thought that before we commence with our garage conversion, it would be nice to take some before photographs. If I remember I will try and take some more, as the work progresses…
