Why do the weekends seem to go by so quickly? I think that we should have a shorter working week so that we can enjoy our weekend and have time to relax and chill. I for one cannot cope with getting up early in the morning and only having 2 lie-ins per week.
It feels that life in just passing me by, yet I have got another 33 years before I retire (that’s if they don’t increase the retirement age). It maybe just that I am unhappy at work and the moment and don’t have time to breath, but hopefully that will improve in the next few weeks. The Kman and I only have 10 weeks until we are off work again
Keep Smiling

The Kman and I went out with his family on Saturday to celebrate his 29th birthday. We firstly went to Bicester Shopping Village and had a look round the designer shops, even at a discount prices I thought some of the clothes were still quite expensive. We then went to Milton Keynes to have something to eat and to have a browse round the shops.
I was looking at some of the tops that are in fashion at the moment (which I think are fantastic as they hide unsightly lumps and bumps). Firstly I am not fan of the patterns and colours that are used on these tops, but secondly the sizing of clothes is completely ambiguous. I consider myself not a large person but I am not slim either. Depending on what shop I go into I am either a 12 or 14.
Unfortunately I suffer from the classic “pear-shaped” figure so clothes are tight round the hips/thighs and bottom but very loose around the waist. Manufacturers don’t seem to take into consideration the different shapes and sizes of the nation. Clothes that are shown in the window look fantastic but if you are more than a 14 these clothes do not look as great.
Hopefully designers will come around to thinking that there are very few people who are a size 8 and start to cater for the larger sizes.
Enough of the ranting

I am happy to say that I am quite a careful and safe driver, but there is not a day that goes by where I am nearly hit by people who are in too much of a hurry. The Kman suffers more from this more than I do and has on several occasions nearly been squashed by a lorry on the slip road as it hurtles towards the local industrial estate.
I get so annoyed at people that tail-gate, don’t indicate and most of all pull out in front of you when you are on the roundabout. I know that we are not the only ones that feel that we are putting our lives on the lap of the gods each time we go and leave work each day.
Please slow down, it’s always better to arrive later in one piece than to hurry and not get there at all.

The Kman and I went to our local Morrisons yesterday so that I could pump the tyres up on my car as they had started to feel a bit low. To our utter disgust we had to pay 10p per minute for air. In total it cost 30p to sort out my tyres. I know that 30p is not a lot of money but if you think that people will have to pay roughly that each time they pump their tyres up Morrisions is going to be laughing all the way to the bank.
I think that this is totally out of order and shall now find some where that doesn’t charge for air. Before we know it we are going to charged for breathing soon.

I have decided at the tender age of 31 I am far too old to be going out into town on a Saturday night. I have come to this conclusion with the following:
1. Finding the music too loud when entering a pub
2. Complaining that the music is too loud
3. Not recognising any music being played
3. Not getting much change out of £10 when buying 3 drinks
4. Being more interested in the weather forecast on the TV in the pub that the people making fools of themselves.
I felt a lot older than I actually am on Saturday and was quite happy to get home and be in bed before 11.30. I didn’t go as far has having a hot chocolate before I went to bed.
